This is an easy recipe for Moules Marinière (mussels in white wine sauce). This classic French recipe is a great way to impress the family in no time at all – ready on the table in 30 minutes. Plus. it’s low in calories, too!
- 1 kg Mussels
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 5 sprigs flat-leaf parsley
- 350ml White wine
- 50g salted butter
- pepper and salt
- Peel and chop the onion. Peel and crush the garlic. Roughly chop the parsley.
- Heat a large cooking pot on the stove. Add the mussels, onion, garlic, parsley, butter and white wine. Season with pepper. Cover and let it cook on high heat for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Halfway through the cooking time, shake the mussels well, season again with pepper. Make sure all mussels are open, but don’t leave them on the fire longer than necessary.
